A professional chef since 1998 by way of Philadelphia and Seattle, Jennifer is now a private chef and leader of active Food & Wine tours in the heart of Umbria. She works closely with the local, artisan producers she has met over the years and keeps her ears open at the markets, always ready to learn a new traditional recipe from an Italian Nonna to share with you!

Trevi: Flora, Fauna...and Truffles!
We begin by exploring the 16th century noble palazzo of the town - both inside and out. We will view the splendid frescoes inside before meandering through the medieval botanical gardens and olive groves of the noble manor.
A stroll through the historic center of the town with its olive oil, leather and cashmere shops completes the morning.
We will eat a multi-course lunch at an exclusive family owned truffle estate known for their creative use of both white & black truffles in season.

Perugia: Bottom to Top!
The day begins at the base of the medieval city at the weekly organic Farmers Market (Thursday only). We then hop on the ‘MiniMetro’ to zoom up to the top of the Etruscan town for breathtaking views of the area.
Meandering through the byways of the town we will visit a weaver who makes jacquard on 17th century looms, while taking in the sights of local artisans and shopkeepers along the way!
Lunch in a local osteria known for its exclusive use of Umbrian products.
‘La Passeggiata’ Tour
A driving and tasting tour along the main country road of the Umbrian valley.
We begin with a visit to a local goat cheese producer in the area of Montefalco
to sample an array of artisan goat cheeses.
Across the way we will encounter free range pigs and walk along the
‘path of the pig.’ Next stop is at local flour mill where we will learn about Umbrian bread as well as taste local specialties.
Our final stop is at the Terre Margaritelli winery in Torgiano
for a tour of the organic estate and wine tasting lunch!
Shopping Tour of Umbria
A tour through the medieval centers of Bevagna, Spello and Montefalco
to explore the best artisans of the area -
from high end Cashmere, scarves, linens to salumi, local artists and more!
A fantastic lunch in a typical osteria included.
Horseback Riding & Vineyard Lunch
A 45 minute tour on horseback (no experience necessary)
through the vineyards of the Terre Margaritelli winery in the countryside of Torgiano (just outside of Perugia),
followed by a tour of the winery, wine tasting and lunch.
Cycling Tour of the Umbrian Valley
Tour along country roads with a professional Italian guide through the beautiful vineyard and olive grove covered hills of the Umbrian Valley,
stopping in small villages along the way.
A full Umbrian Picnic lunch in the countryside completes the day!

Farm to Table Tour
Our first stop is at a unique stone flour mill and wood-fired oven bakery.
We learn about breadmaking beginning with grain!
We then move up to a local farm where a local family raises animals for
salumi making, meat and cheese production.
We will make cheese and pasta with Nonna Rita before indulging in a traditional farm lunch.

Ballooning Over Bevagna Tour
A magical morning spent floating over the splendid Umbrian valley with views of the entire area stretching to Tuscany and Le Marche! The tour departs from the Bevagna area at 7:00 am (give or take 30 minutes) and lasts about one hour.
After the balloon ride, a light breakfast will be served and we will enjoy a tasting at a local winery. This is followed by a walking tour of medieval Bevagna and lunch in a local osteria.
Umbrian Cooking Class & Lunch
Cooking classes are held at the Terre Margaritelli winery
in Torgiano or directly in guest villa.
The hands on class is based around the best local ingredients in season,
and includes making antipasto, primo, secondo and dolce
followed by a lunch (eating what we just made, of course!)
